"It is expected that by the end of 2024, the flow of Russians abroad will amount to 22 million, slightly less than half of them – 10 million – are tourists who turned to tour operators for individual travel services. According to our estimates, approximately 2.4-2.5 million people have purchased a complex travel product worth 248.9 billion rubles. More accurate figures will be known by April 15, when travel companies submit statistical reports," Alexander Osaulenko, vice president of the Russian Union of Travel Industry (PCT), was quoted by TASS as saying.

Alexander Osaulenko also stressed that the organized outbound tourism market has recovered by 86% compared to the pre-2019 figures, when the number of tour packages sold amounted to 2.8 million. In monetary terms, 2024 will exceed 2019, when tours were sold by 116 billion rubles, and last year – by 248.9 billion.
It is known that the average price of a tourist product in the pre-tax period was 41 thousand 736 rubles, in 2024 – 102 thousand rubles. The annual growth of the average check for outbound destinations was approximately 21%.
